The Artco Specialist is our interpretation of the ultimate sporting clays shotgun for the expert shooter. It is designed to deliver smooth, yet responsive handling. We utilized our industry leading barrel production to create ultra-light 34” barrels. The goal: to reduce barrel weight for ideal balance, while the added length improves swing and precision on long-range targets. To accomplish the dynamic handling characteristics of the Artco Specialist, we started with light barrel tubes and assigned a top rib with a 10 to 6mm taper to remove weight out of the muzzle end. Next, we created a new E22 ultra-light choke, crafted from German grade 5 Titanium. Additionally, we removed the mid rib under the fore-end to squeeze every last gram of weight out of the barrels. This is a competition shotgun that is not for every shooter like an F1 race car is not for every driver.

INVICTUS: Latin, meaning: unconquerable, undefeated.

A number of years ago we engaged in a study to determine if there was a technical solution for significantly increasing the long term durability of an over-and-under action; more specifically, the problem of an “off face” condition which is created by the barrel and action wearing to the point that there is an unsafe gap between the two. This condition typically spelled the end of a shotgun’s useful wear life. Caesar Guerini’s Invictus action is the first double gun to ever overcome this issue. Due to the modularity of the Invictus system the life span has been increased between 200 and 300% over the typical double gun.
